Mark Young, AIA, LEED AP
Mark is a Principal of unusual talent and skill who is able to take a project from concept to scheme to detail and construction. With 20 years of experience, Mark played a lead role in the design of the LTD Springfield Station and the LTD Eugene Downtown Station prior to joining Rowell Brokaw Architects. His impressive record of built work in the region is a testament to his effectiveness as a project and design team leader, and he brings a comprehensive knowledge of sustainability to every project.
He was involved extensively in the design of Crescent Village; the LTD Gateway Station; the West Eugene Wetlands Education Center Master Plan; the VA Health Clinic in White City, Oregon; LCC's Art School, RTEC facility, and Recycling Center; and the University of Oregon Straub Hall Renovation and Deferred Maintenance and Straub & Earl Hall Classroom Expansion, among other projects. Mark recently completed work on the Eugene 4J Arts & Technology Academy at Jefferson Middle School and is currently working on Tykeson Hall at the University of Oregon.
Mark has a Bachelor of Architecture degree from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. He studied architecture and art history in Denmark and Italy and served as an intern for the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice, Italy.
