Mark Young, AIA, LEED AP BD+C
Mark is a Principal at Rowell Brokaw who takes a comprehensive, hands-on approach to projects. With over 25 years of experience over a wide range of public and private work, Mark brings a depth of talent and skill to every aspect of a project, from concept to scheme, through detailing and construction. His impressive record of built work in the region is a testament to his effectiveness as a project and design team leader, and he brings extensive knowledge of building technology and sustainability to every project.
He was involved extensively in the design of Crescent Village, the LTD Gateway Station, the West Eugene Wetlands Education Center Master Plan, the VA Health Clinic in White City, Oregon, LCC's Art School, RTEC facility, and Recycling Center, the University of Oregon Straub Hall Renovation and Deferred Maintenance and Straub & Earl Hall Classroom Expansion, the 4J Arts & Technology Academy, Tykeson Hall at the University of Oregon, and the Eureka Veterans Homeless Housing project, among others. Mark is currently working on LTD Santa Clara Station and 4J North Eugene High School.
Mark has a Bachelor of Architecture degree from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. He studied architecture and art history in Denmark and Italy and served as an intern for the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice, Italy.
