Mark applies a comprehensive, hands-on approach to projects. With 35 years of experience over a wide range of public and private work, Mark brings a depth of talent and skill to every aspect of a project, from concept to scheme through detailing and construction. He has played a lead role in the planning, design, and development of many projects for public entities and a variety of private clients. He has overseen many academic projects, from complex, multi-phased construction to upgrades and envelope improvements. Mark also has extensive experience in transportation and housing projects. His impressive record of built work in the region is a testament to his effectiveness as a project and design team leader, and he brings extensive knowledge of building technology and sustainability to every project.
Mark has a Bachelor of Architecture degree from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. He studied architecture and art history in Denmark and Italy and served as an intern for the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice, Italy. He regularly volunteers for the DisOrient Asian American Film Festival in Eugene. He has performed pro bono design work for SquareOne Villages, a non-profit creating self-managed communities of cost-effective tiny homes for people in need of housing.
