Staff Tour of North Eugene High School

 
 

RB’s Patrick Hannah and Mark Young, with a team from Lease Crutcher Lewis, led RB staff on a tour of the new 4J North Eugene High School now under construction.

 
 

Lease Crutcher Lewis compiled some fascinating facts about the new 216,000-sq-ft building:

CONCRETE

  • Polished Concrete 144,244 sf

  • Total Concrete 4,106 CY

  • Rebar 540 tons

STEEL

  • 1,106.94 tons of steel (2,213,880 lbs)

  • 20 BRBs (buckling-restrained brace)

MECHANICAL

  • 300,000 lbs of ductwork

  • 90 AHUs (air handling unit)

  • A 40’ x 10’ sloped louver

 
 

The construction of North Eugene High School is roughly 25% complete. The building will open in the fall of 2023.
