New Covered Play Area for Early Childhood CARES
The University of Oregon Early Childhood CARES program has a new covered play area in their Whiteaker location. Early Childhood CARES provides early intervention and early childhood special education to infants, toddlers, and preschool age children in Lane County (for more on this program, which is affiliated with the College of Education at the UO, see its website).
The 950-sf heavy timber and steel roof structure features concrete slab with rubber fall surface and space for swinging and bike/trike riding. It will provide protection from rain in the winter and from intense sun in the summer.
