Peter King, AIA
Principal
For the last 20 years at Rowell Brokaw, Peter has worked on a wide range of projects from academic to institutional to retail. He has been a consistent thread in Rowell Brokaw’s housing and mixed-use projects, including affordable housing, homes for persons with developmental disabilities, custom residences, and assisted living facilities in Oregon and California. Peter leads the integration of Building Information Modeling (BIM) design software with the firm’s design process. His expertise in computer modeling, rendering, and animation enables Rowell Brokaw to produce presentation-quality graphics and animated walkthroughs for clients.
Before joining Rowell Brokaw, Peter managed construction projects in Japan, Argentina, and England for Acorn Structures, a Massachusetts-based housing company. He has worked as a carpenter and licensed contractor, and he has taught classes on Media, Construction Documents, and Design Build at the University of Oregon. Peter received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, and a Master of Architecture from the University of Oregon.
