North Eugene High School Open House

Eugene School District 4J hosted an open house at North Eugene High School. You could feel the energy and excitement as community members explored and students showed their families the new 216,000-sf building.

We were impressed, in particular, by the Commons and how it was able to accommodate so many people in an open and inclusive environment. The wood slats on the walls and ceiling served their practical purpose of minimizing the noise during the speeches, a performance, and a ribbon cutting at the event, while also lending warmth and representing the woven pattern of the Highlanders' quilt.

It was also wonderful to see some members of the design and construction team. Below are team members from Rowell Brokaw, Opsis Architecture, Lease Crutcher Lewis, and ABD Engineering & Design.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this inspiring new school a part of our community!
