Constrution Update: Pipeworks Studios
Pipeworks Studios’ remodeled two-story and basement, 15,000-sf office is taking shape. A new central social stairway will be inserted into the opening below new skylights to create a light-filled, highly visual, connective space. Timber, circa 1954, salvaged from the new opening will be repurposed and used in other spaces. Throughout the design, exposed timber has been integrated with exposed steel columns and beams. Soon offices, meeting rooms, a gallery, a break room, and a “living room” will be framed with steel studs. The overall design is informed by a unique post-pandemic approach that highlights a flexible workplace designed to maximize collaboration and the new hybrid employee.
