With over two decades of professional experience, Celeste is an architecture and building envelope professional who combines a refined eye for aesthetics, composition, and design sensibility with a thorough dedication to detailing, constructability, and documentation. Her technical background encompasses façade systems and thermal performance analysis. Solution-oriented and deeply committed to sustainable practices, she advocates for resilient design and adaptive responses to our ever-changing environment. Working in tandem on large scales and the intimacy of the detail scale, she weaves solutions while maintaining architectural intent. Her work in architecture covers a wide range of building types, spanning educational, commercial, civic and governmental, and custom residential projects.
Born in Portugal, Celeste began her professional journey as a Scientific Illustrator for the Portuguese Archeological Institute Government. Transitioning into architecture, she earned a Bachelor of Arts and Architecture from the University of New Mexico and a Master of Architecture from the University of Washington. Prior to joining Rowell Brokaw, Celeste established an extensive career working with design firms, including the Miller Hull Partnership and Integrus, among others.
