3D-Printed Models

Frank Visconti has become the 3D-printer guru at Rowell Brokaw. He’s been experimenting with a Bambu P1-S model and finding evocative ways to show clients massing and siting decisions during the design process. It also can be used to showcase the project.

For our weekly Design Review, Frank presented to the office on how to use the 3D printer for projects. He went over the technical opportunities and pitfalls he’s encountered thus far. These include scaling, simplification of the model in Revit, settings on the machine, and more.
