New Photography: UO DeNorval Unthank Jr. Hall

New images of DeNorval Unthank Jr. Hall at the University of Oregon from a series taken by photographer Kevin Scott. Unthank Hall is a 7-story campus residential hall with food court, recruitment center, and classrooms.

Unthank Hall influences many students’ and parents’ first impressions of the campus and University as a whole. The first floor is home to the university’s prospective student welcome center, designed to showcase the very best the University of Oregon has to offer its incoming Ducks. This center has display spaces, model residence hall rooms, meeting spaces, and a large presentation room. It also serves as the headquarters for tour guides and a starting point for campus tours.

To support residents and attract other students and visitors, Unthank Hall also features on the first floor a vibrant new market hall with nine dining venues.

On the upper floors, communal spaces support student life. Shared lounges, study rooms, and a community kitchen give students various opportunities to study, socialize, and make lasting connections.

DeNorval Unthank Jr. Hall is the first of a three phase project at the University of Oregon. For more on this transformational housing and open space project, see the University of Oregon’s website.
