Rowell Brokaw at OPUSVII

Visit OPUS VII to see the AIA Southwestern Oregon's People's Choice Entries and to see "The City" a photo exhibit by Rowell Brokaw Architects.

Broadway looking West. The Hoffman Hotel, the second tall building in the view is now where Rowell Brokaw Architects Lives.

"The City" is an exhibit of Then and Now photos of a small portion of downtown Eugene. The photos were found at the University of Oregon Archives and Rowell Brokaw intern Maurice Reid photographed each view to exactly match the old view. The photo comparisons don't easily lend themselves to convenient assumptions about the past vs. the present, but they do show how fast cities, culture, and expectations change right under our feet.

Additionally, OPUS VII is displaying a number of architectural models including the study model for the Crescent Village Town Center. Many thanks to Arlie & Company for lending the model to OPUS VII for this exhibit.

The opening of these 2 exhibits will take place during the First Friday Art Walk on September 2nd at 5:30pm. For questions, contact OPUS VII at 541-393-0743.
