2025 Office Holiday Party
Rowell Brokaw celebrated the holidays and close of the year with a party at 255 Madison.
With another successful year in the rear view mirror, it’s a good time to acknowledge a few highlights from this past year: Senior Architect and Landscape Architect Lorri Nelson received a 2025 DJC Woman of Vision Award; Peter Utsey and Brooke McDonald became newly licensed architects; the OSU Azalea Early Care & Education Center Remodel received an honorable mention for the IIDA Oregon Design Excellence Awards; and Cascade Middle School and Flock13 were featured as DJC Top Projects.
Back to the holiday party: Shield Catering provided a delicious array of appetizers, hors d'oeuvres, and a full dessert bar. 255 Madison, Eugene’s first Urban Winery, provided the craft cocktails and other drinks.
Staff brought partners and families. There were some young and older children running around, eating too many sweets. The youngest was five months old and didn’t cry once.
Interior designer Kara Strickland sung to us and played the flute. Her band Molasses blends neo-soul, R&B, Jazz, and Hip-Hop. It was a treat to hear her sing and rock out to this amazing local band. They had us dancing!
We had a lot of fun with Polaroid-style cameras at the party. We’re so glad these cameras have come back.
Now our office fridge truly reflects the one-big-family atmosphere, work-life balance we cultivate.
Cheers to a new year of continued collaboration, inspiration, and plenty of moments to celebrate!
