Housing Heroes Happy Hour
Cornerstone Community Housing hosted the 2025 Housing Heroes Happy Hour at Ninkasi. The hybrid, live-streamed event supports the nonprofit’s efforts to “prevent homelessness before it begins” by providing accessible and affordable housing with robust resident services for people in Lane County. It was particularly moving to hear Nicole York’s journey from living out of her car to finding a stable home.
22nd Annual Empty Bowls Dinner & Auction
As part of the Empty Bowls fundraising event, FOOD for Lane County hosted an evening of dinner, silent and live auctions, and merriment at the Lane Events Center. Their mission is “to reduce hunger by engaging our community to create access to food.” The theme of the evening was SEEDS of CHANGE.
