A Civic Heart: Eugene City Hall - Schematic Design Update

​On July 13, the team from Rowell Brokaw and Miller Hull presented a schematic design update on Eugene City Hall - Phase 1 to the Mayor and City Council. A rendering of the proposed building shows a four-story building framing a new civic open space and a double-skin facade with western red cedar salvaged from the 1964 building repurposed behind a glass curtain wall. The project is approximately 30,000 square feet and is targeting high-performance energy outcomes that support the City's goal of reducing community-wide fossil fuel use 50% by 2030.
