Oregon Pacific Bank

Eugene, Oregon

Recently, the rapidly expanding Oregon Pacific Bank (OPB) moved their Eugene branch to 11th and Oak in downtown Eugene. Previously located on an upper floor of the Citizen’s Building, they sought a new ground-floor location with street frontage and a better retail presence. The new branch encompasses roughly 8,200 square feet on two floors, thereby enabling OPB to expand their local presence and stay in the downtown area.

Rowell Brokaw was hired to design the renovated space to reflect OPB’s lighthearted culture and company identity. Renovations to the new space included opening the basement floor plan to give each employee access to daylight via the existing lightwells and building a new teller bar that acts as the focal point of the large ground-floor space. The existing offices were remodeled to include new sliding doors—a cost-effective way of adding glass that influences clients’ first impressions. The basement level now contains open offices, additional private offices, and an employee break room equipped with an eat-in kitchen. The ground floor includes additional open office space, private offices, a conference room, waiting area, and a welcoming hospitality niche and coffee bar that doubles as a small, informal meeting room. The teller bar is framed by a wood screen that enables tellers to assist both walk-in and drive-through customers without compromising privacy for business activity or visual connectivity.
