Groundbreaking for New Building at Danebo Elementary School

The Bethel community celebrated the groundbreaking of Danebo Elementary School’s new building featuring a gymnasium, six classrooms, and a shared learning space connected to the existing building via a breezeway. The gym will provide ample space for P.E. and large assemblies, while also serving as a community asset.
The project also includes improvements to the existing school’s front entry, cafeteria and multipurpose room, and will add air conditioning to the existing classrooms. Students, staff, school board members, and project partners gathered to celebrate this exciting milestone.
The new building and the strategic renovation of Danebo Elementary School are the last major project to come out of Bethel's voter-approved 2020 bond. Construction begins this summer and is expected to continue through Spring 2027.
