Lane Transit District Boardroom Remodel
Rowell Brokaw remodeled LTD’s boardroom and adjacent catering/meeting spaces. The boardroom was transformed from a standard meeting room to a more elevated space suitable for public board and committee meetings. The space is designed for both in-person attendance and for broadcast viewing over local TV.
For the boardroom, the team replaced floor, wall, and ceiling finishes and inserted a custom, fixed dais and presenter table. Moveable furniture is provided for larger meetings. The u-shaped dais, detailed with rift-sawn maple veneer, anchors the space. Hemlock fir slats with a clear finish were used for the ceiling and vertical wood panels. Finishes were carefully chosen to unify the overall space while also complementing the asymmetrical room shape.
The catering/meeting rooms were refreshed with new finishes, casework and furniture. Finishes in the kitchen space include maple p-lam cabinetry, quartz countertop, and lightly variegated tile.
