New Photography: Pacific Northwest Market
Photographer Josh Partee took new pictures of the Pacific NW Market in DeNorval Unthank Jr Hall at the University of Oregon. Encompassing nine diverse food venues, a range of seating areas, and multiple art installations from local artists, the market hall is open and layered, full of dining and seating choices. Ingredients are locally sourced from more than 25 farms in the surrounding Willamette Valley.
Cattycorner to Hayward Field and a short walk from the Matthew Knight Arena, Duck’s House is ideally located for Duck fans. One of nine food venues in the PNW Public Market, Duck’s House pays homage to the university’s sports culture.
It features such playful details as perforated, interior-lit, and custom powder-coated lockers at the back bar; a pixelated homage to the University mascot Puddles along the bar face; yellow track lanes painted on polished concrete floors; and rubber ducks that originally covered a wall in the venue but subsequently have taken on a life (and journey) of their own.
