Site drilling kickstarts the 33 East Broadway project
Last Saturday the new site for 33 East Broadway was buzzing with activity as soil borings were drilled for geotechnical review. The borings will help determine soil bearing capacities and will inform the design and sizing of the foundation system for the project.
33 East Broadway will be a four-story office building on a thin slice of land off East Broadway that’s now used for parking. The parking lot sits between a Wells Fargo Bank branch to the east and the One East Broadway building to the west. Current designs feature a first floor designated for retail or office, and three additional floors above for office tenants.
The project is currently in the design phase. Construction start planned for Spring 2016.
