Edward Center Phase 1 Submitted for Building Permit
Rowell Brokaw Architects recently applied for a building permit for Phase I of the Edwards Center project. This first phase of the project consists of the renovation and expansion of the existing Edwards Center headquarters in Aloha, OR. When completed, this facility will total 11,000 square feet and will house classrooms, offices, a full commercial kitchen, and a large multipurpose community space. This expansion will allow the Edwards Center, a nonprofit committed to supporting people with living with disability, to grow its offerings and meet the increasing need for educational, health, and wellness programs in the local community.
Phase II of the project will consist of the development of a “pocket neighborhood” on property adjacent to the Edwards Center. One of the primary goals of these 10 new residences will be to provide choice, independence, and a sense of community for residents of all ages and disabilities.
Construction on the Edwards Center Phase 1 will begin in June, with the construction of the housing beginning later this year. Be sure to check back for additional updates and construction photos as these projects progress!
