News Feature: Lighting Up the Hult Center
Our lighting master plan for Eugene's Hult Center for the Performing Arts project is featured in this season's Ovation (an event calendar for the Hult Center for the Performing Arts). The lighting master plan was developed in 2008-2009 to solve specific technical and maintenance issues while also "dazzling” patrons and reinventing one of Eugene’s great rooms. The first phase of implementation, to be constructed this summer, includes the design and fabrication of a column-mounted, custom luminaire to illuminate the lobby’s vertical wood structure and ceiling planes, as well as the organization of new electrical infrastructure in an exposed space. Rowell Brokaw Architects is partnering with Glumac Engineering and HLB Lighting Design to complete this exciting project before the Hult Center's 30th Anniversary in 2013.
