Peter Utsey, Associate AIA
Peter Utsey is a Designer at Rowell Brokaw. His excellent work habits coupled with his unusually high level of thoroughness and clarity of thought are an asset to the firm. Born and raised in Eugene, he received his B.A. in Political Science & Art from the University of Oregon. While an undergraduate, Peter was on the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and received staff and regional awards in illustration and editorial cartooning for his work for the Oregon Daily Emerald. He continued his art out of school with a website and has been published in The Register-Guard.
After completing his M.Arch. at the University of Oregon, Peter spent close to 5 years working in the office of 2fORM Architecture in Eugene. There he worked on a variety of projects, including the Champ-A-Tee Residence and Wildwood Residence. While in graduate school, Peter worked for Rowell Brokaw as a practicum student and then as a paid intern. Since then, he has worked on many projects, including the Crescent Village Mixed-Use Development, 33 East Broadway, and the ATA Jefferson Middle School Remodel and Addition in Eugene, as well as an assisted living facility in Carson City, Nevada. Peter is currently working on Tykeson Hall, a new college and careers building in the heart of the University of Oregon campus.
