Welcome Peter Utsey!

Peter Utsey recently joined Rowell Brokaw Architects as a designer. His excellent work habits coupled with his unusually high level of thoroughness and clarity of thought are an asset to the firm. Born and raised in Eugene, he received his B.A. in Political Science & Art from the University of Oregon. While an undergraduate, Peter was on the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and received staff and regional awards in illustration and editorial cartooning while working for the Oregon Daily Emerald. Peter continued his art out of school with a website and has been published in the Register Guard.

After completing his M.Arch. at the University of Oregon, he spent close to 5 years working in the office of 2fORM Architecture in Eugene. There he worked on a variety of projects, including the two new residences in Eugene, the Champ-A-Tee Residence and Wildwood Residence. While in graduate school, Peter worked for Rowell Brokaw as a practicum student then as a paid intern. He worked on many projects including the Crescent Village Mixed-Use Development; a single family residence both in Eugene; and an assisted living facility in Carson City, Nevada. Peter is currently the project designer for the 33 East Broadway project, a proposed six-story infill mixed-use building to be built in a parking lot on East Broadway in downtown Eugene.
