Kaarin Knudson, Associate AIA
Project Manager, Planning Specialist, Designer
Kaarin is a Project Designer and Planning Specialist at Rowell Brokaw whose recent work includes the Eugene City Hall, EWEB Riverfront Master Plan, and the UO University Street Planning Study. Kaarin has also completed award-winning work for several Rowell Brokaw projects including the Edwards Community Center, Hult Center Lighting Master Plan and Implementation, Eugene 4J STEM Remodel, Crescent Village mixed-use development, and the West Eugene Wetlands Master Plan. She teaches in the Architecture and Planning departments at the UO School of Architecture & Allied Arts.
Before receiving her master’s degree in architecture, Kaarin directed the communications for a $600-million philanthropic foundation in the San Francisco Bay Area and founded a publishing company in Portland, Oregon. She holds B.A. degrees with honors in journalism and design and an M.Arch from the University of Oregon, where she was also the Jackson Award recipient and NCAA Woman of the Year. Her projects have won national and international design awards and been published in trade magazines and several design annuals.
