Oregon iLasik and Refractive recently opened its doors in Eugene, Oregon. This project was an adaptive re-use of previous surgical dental suite in a 90’s building with an architectural character reflective of inexpensive commercial buildings of the period. The goal was to create an oasis within this context that transforms visitors’ impressions. The interior space was gutted and remodeled using light, color and warm materials. The space has a health spa character and conveys a sense of privacy, trust and calmness.
The project had to be completed in a very short period of time. Through a true fast-track design/build method of project delivery the project received a permit in a few short weeks. However, material choices, details, and colors were developed during construction. The building tenant improvement was constructed by 2G Construction, led by Lance Crandall. Design/Build Mechanical was performed by Regi Vaughn of Technicraft. Design/Build electrical was by John Brumback of JB Electric. Plumbing design/build was by Russ Emel of North Douglas Plumbing. The project was managed for the Owner by Joy Haines and Gina Widoff of Oregon iLasik and Refractive.
